A popular camping spot for families, Big4 Sydney Lakeside National Park is a favorite among families. Keep in mind that this option is for those who prefer the community aspect of a busy campground.
If you are into surfing, then a one hour bus or car ride will get you to the popular surfing destination, Manly.
If you are someone who prefers bushwalking then you can take a 40 minute bus to Palm Beach Wharf from which you can take a quick 20 minute ferry to Basin.
